Walk down the isle of any pharmacy and you cannot help but notice the various claims on the labels of vitamins and supplements. Fat burning! Weight reduction! All of these claims are very appealing. How nice if success could come in a bottle. Especially a cheap bottle. You glance at them at first, doubting whether or not they will really work. But then it begins to eat at you. Suppose it helps? Maybe it will! It doesn't cost much to try.
Let me say this unequivocally, there is no over-the-counter vitamin supplement that has any significant benefit in weight reduction. Such claims are for the gullible and the desperate. Fortunately, you are neither because you have I.M.120 at your service.
While vitamins and mineral supplements do not help you with weight reduction, they are nevertheless critically important to maintaining your optimal health as you go through your change in body size and eating patterns
When you were eating in your old-style, you were consuming excess caloric intake. While this caused weight gain, it also helped provide adequate vitamins and minerals. Somewhere in all that excess intake, you likely were able to sneak in enough vitamins and minerals to provide sustenance your vital organs and your brain. Remember, your heart, your brain and your other vital organs do not care if you tote around a lot of excess fat, as long as they get what they need. What happens when you reduce the amount of your intake?
If your only focus is on the scale and reduced body weight, you may be depriving your body of the essential components to sustain optimal health. Chronic inadequacy of vitamins and minerals can lead to vital organ strain, irregular heart rhythm, even neurological, skeletal and muscle decay and ultimately increase your risk of everything from infectious illness to cancer and even dementia.
Before you grab that generic multivitamin from your local pharmacy or big box store, be wary of cheap ingredients that give false comfort while providing little value.
I have no confidence in the quality and freshness of vitamins that are mass produced and sold direct the public in most retail establishments. Quality vitamins and minerals require superior ingredients and careful attention to manufacturing process. Just because an ingredient is listed on the label does not mean that it is readily available for your body to absorb and put to use. The most common and the least expensive means of manufacturing vitamins includes heat processing. In the course of manufacturing, much of the quality of the vitamin can be destroyed. That does not prevent the company from listing ingredients on the label since the only requirement is to list what they started with, not what your body can actually utilize. In addition, most of the common store bought vitamins have too little of the things you need, and too much of what you don't need.
At I.M.120 we individualize your vitamin, mineral and supplement program thus ensuring optimization of vital organ function and preservation of brain, muscle and bone health as you progress in your weight-loss program.
A wise person wouldn't go to the pharmacy and start ordering up prescription drugs based upon what they read in the latest newspaper story. By the same token, thoughtful use of supplements is best undertaken in partnership with a consultative expert in the field.
While vitamins and supplements by themselves will not provide you with the weight-loss you seek, high-quality, properly chosen and properly dosed vitamins minerals and supplements can support your best, most youthful and longest lifespan.
To your best health,
Dr. Stephen Petteruti
